SnapPost founder Suzanne Wouk at the eBay campus for a recent eBay user meeting

Our Story

The inspiration for SnapPost came from the Company’s founder, Suzanne Wouk, who as an eBay expert was always being asked by friends and family to sell their stuff on eBay.  She decided to build an app and service to make it easy for anyone to sell on eBay and succeed like an expert.

The SnapPost App incorporates the expertise of eBay veterans by leading the user through the process of taking a series of photos on their iPhone. The photo flow captures what beginning eBay sellers often miss in their photos: the backs of items, close-ups of tags and labels, blemishes, certificates of authenticity, etc. The photos go to SnapPost to be turned into an eBay listing for free.

“I’ve been selling on eBay for 20 years, and I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t work. The most important aspect of an eBay listing is the choice of keywords. A buyer can’t buy your product if they can’t find it using the keywords which come to their mind. The second most important aspect are the photos. Most novice sellers don’t take enough photos and they don’t take the right photos.”
Unlike many iPhone Apps which rely entirely on automation SnapPost combines great server technology with live human experts who create the listing. SnapPost experts use sophisticated tools to identify items, research the price at which comparable items have sold, select keywords, and create the copy for your item.
